Evening Campfire at Vista Hermosa
Who doesn’t love a good evening campfire? Evening campfires are a great way to get the family together. And to enjoy some quality time with nature. They are a great way to make family memories and traditions. Plus, there are usually great stories, silly songs, and tasty snacks.
Every Wednesday, an evening campfire event is held at Vista Hermosa Park. This program has been offered for years. Its success is marked with a weekly event.
Grab the family and remind the neighbors so they can come too! It’s an entertaining night! It is filled with campfire songs and a wonderful nature program. The marshmallows and skewers are supplied. All you have to do is roast a tasty treat with the family!
This free event (and free parking too!) is an hour and a half long. They meet every Wednesday at the Grotto Amphitheater at Vista Hermosa Natural Park. It starts at 7 pm.

About Vista Hermosa Natural Park
Vista Hermosa Park is the first public park that has been built in the area is over one hundred years! It was developed in collaboration with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the City of Los Angeles.
It is a 10.5-acre park located at the western gateway to Downtown Los Angeles.
It features:
- oak savannas.
- meadows.
- walking trails.
- streams.
- Mediterranean vegetation.
- picnic grounds.
- nature-themed playground.
There is also a FIFA-regulation sized soccer field. It is jointly used by Edward R. Roybal Learning Center and L.A. Department of Recreation and Parks. Plus, an outdoor amphitheater, designated the Grotto Amphitheater. It is the perfect setting for environmental and natural history education (like the evening campfire event). The Grotto provides an educational experience for the whole family.
